Between 10-11 September 2024, the Supporting Team for the Promotion of Thailand Zero Dropout and Development of Mechanisms and Database Systems to Support Area-Based Education Management (Sending Smiles Team), from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Surin Provincial Administrative Organization and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), organized a workshop on “Using the Thailand Zero Dropout Information System” in Surin Province. This workshop aimed to address the issue of children and youth dropping out of the education system, with a total of 362 provincial working group members participating.
The purpose of the training was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Thailand Zero Dropout Information System, including its questionnaire framework, and to enable them to use the system effectively in line with their roles and responsibilities. Furthermore, the training sought to equip participants with the knowledge to train and guide other relevant provincial working groups.
Participants included key project leaders responsible for reducing the number of children and youth outside the education system to zero, along with staff and representatives from agencies involved in three primary roles: surveyors, case managers (CM), and system administrators (Admins) at both provincial and sub-district levels.
