On December 24, 2023, Prof. Dr. Patama Vapattanawong, Lecturer of the Population and Social Research Institute at Mahidol University received the 2nd prize in the age category of 60 years and over for the 10 km distance, participating in the project activity “Walking – Running for Health” under the name “MUGR FUND RUN 2023 60th Year Anniversary” on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Graduate School Founding Day at Mahidol University. The objective of this event is to promote good health and create exercise habits for students, staff, and the general public, as well as to raise funds to help graduate students who lack funds to have the opportunity to study at the graduate level. The income, after deducting expenses, will be imported into the “Education Fund for Graduate Students Mahidol University.”
The walk-run event consists of two distances: Fun Run (5 kilometers) and Mini Marathon (10 kilometers). The Mini Marathon includes a running competition, and the winners of the Overall category, both male and female, will receive a royal trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Banjong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, honored to preside over the opening speech, along with Professor Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na–Ayudhya, Dean of the Graduate School at Mahidol University, reporting on the objectives of the event. The university administration team, Graduate School Executive Committee, department representatives, personnel, students, and the general public participated.
