Associate Professor Dr. Aree Jampaklay, Director, and Associate Professor Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director of Curriculum Quality Development at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, represented the institute in presenting findings from a case study project promoting healthy aging using data across the lifespan in Thailand. Associate Professor Dr. Tawanchai Jirapramukpitak served as the project leader, and Mr. Jettapon Sangkla worked as the research assistant.
They attended the “Extending Benefits across the Life Course: Connecting Healthy Development and Healthy Ageing” meeting between November 28-30, 2023, at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. The delegation included representatives from Canada, Mexico, Ghana, Australia, Pakistan, India, England, and the United States.
During this event, they also participated in a meeting with Dr. Viroj Tangcharoensathien, Vice Chairman of the International Negotiating Body (INB) at WHO, and consultants in the Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Demography and Social Research at IPSR.
