Key Populations Programs’ Technical Assistance Plan Meeting

Between September 25-28, 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dusita Pungsamran and Mr. Niphon Darawuttimaprakorn, representatives from the Population and Social Research Institute, Mahidol University, participated in a workshop on the Key Populations Programs’ Technical Assistance Plan Meeting at Makerere School of Public Health in Uganda. The workshop was supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) Geneva, and was led by Dr. Jinkou (Button) Zhao, Senior Specialist, Impact and Evaluation from GF Geneva. The workshop discussed the development of a curriculum to build capacity in HIV surveillance data systems for key populations in Africa, and the opportunities for Asia and the Pacific. The representatives also met with Prof. Rhoda Wanyenze, Dean of Makerere University College of Health Sciences School of Public Health.
