The 9th Meeting of the Saeng Nam Jai Thai Nation Project, Walk, Run, Cycle, Prevent Paralysis, in honor of His Majesty the King

The New Generation Drives Thai Without Stroke (NO STROKE for All Thais by NEW GEN)” is a collaborative project initiated by the Siriraj Stroke Center, in partnership with various ministries and the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Center (TPAC) at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.

On May 2, 2023, a meeting was held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, led by Associate Professor Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa, along with the working group. The purpose of this meeting was to design assessment guidelines for walking, running, and spinning activities, dedicated to honoring His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. These activities are scheduled to take place during October 24-29, 2023. During the meeting, there was a comprehensive discussion on the criteria for evaluating the participants’ performance, aiming to be eligible for the prestigious King’s Cup and Her Majesty the Queen Award plaques, presented by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education. Various stakeholders attended the meeting, including representatives from Siriraj Stroke Center, Thai Run Co., Ltd., Thaicom Foundation, Public Policy Institute: Prince of Songkla University, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Sports and Tourism, and Ministry of Education.

The purpose of this communication is to present the proposals that emerged from the meeting, aiming to enhance the criteria for considering the royal trophies. These improvements will ensure that the concept of the activity aligns perfectly with the objectives of bringing maximum benefits and achieving the event’s goals.
