On December 26, 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, organized the Year-End Farewell and New Year Celebration Activity 2026 under the theme “Harnessing Inspiration toward a Bright Year of the Horse – Running Far with the Year of Ma-Mia.” Before the start of the event, IPSR staff jointly stood in silent tribute to mourn and humbly recall the royal benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
After that, Associate Professor Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of IPSR, officially opened the event and served as the representative of IPSR members in presenting fruit baskets as New Year greetings to former IPSR directors, including: Emeritus Professor Dr. Pramote Prasartkul, Emeritus Professor Dr. Aphichat Chamratrithirong, Emeritus Professor Dr. Churnrurtai Kanchanachitra, and Professor Dr. Sureeporn Punpuing.
The event included several relationship-building activities such as Soi Dao lucky draw, gift exchange, group dinner with live music in a relaxing atmosphere, and the chance to win special prizes provided by IPSR, held on the 1st floor of IPSR Building, Mahidol University.
