On December 1, 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Service Workers IN Group Foundation (SWING), organized the activity “Awareness, Understanding, and Safety from HIV” to commemorate World AIDS Day, observed annually on 1 December.
The activity featured expert speakers from the SWING Foundation: Mr. Anon Theppinkarn, Mr. Attakorn Somwaeng, and Mr. Adirek Ruenpin.
They provided knowledge on HIV/AIDS, prevention methods, and proper self-care. A live demonstration of the HIV Self-Test Kit was also conducted to ensure participants, including faculty, staff, and students, could apply this knowledge correctly and safely in daily life.
This activity supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 5: Gender Equality. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Dusita Phuengsamran, Deputy Director for International Relations and Organization Communication. The event took place in Rajawadee Room (326), 3rd Floor, IPSR, Mahidol University.
