Testing the Effectiveness of the MU BullyGuard Program in Four Secondary Schools

Between 14–22 November 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Thaweesit, faculty member at the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, and Principal Investigator of the research project “Situation of Adolescent Bullying and the Development of a Mental-Strengthening Application to Address Bullying Behavior”, funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), conducted field testing of the MU BullyGuard program, an innovation developed under the project.

She was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nopporn Vongsirimas, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University (Co-investigator), and the project research team: Ms. Pennapa Saenkla, Ph.D. student in Population and Social Research, and Ms. Kasama Yakoh, field researcher. The MU BullyGuard program was tested in four secondary schools, two intervention schools and two control schools, covering Bangkok, metropolitan region, and remote areas. The participating schools included: 1) Ratchawinit School, Nonthaburi, 2) Satriwitthaya 3 School, Thawi Watthana District, Bangkok, 3) Na Chaluai Secondary School, Na Chaluai District, Ubon Ratchathani (border area), and 4) Dompradit Wittaya School, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani. Upon completion of program testing and refinement, the project will invite schools nationwide to adopt the MU BullyGuard application for student use.
