Workshop on Developing Strategic Provincial Action Plans for Healthy Food Systems

The Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, played a key role in the workshop “Developing Operational Plans for Strategic Provinces under the Healthy Food System Initiative”, organized by ThaiHealth on 20–21 November 2025 at Best Western Nada Don Mueang Airport Hotel.

IPSR researchers presented essential evidence to guide national food system planning: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd presented on “Healthy Food Consumption, Food Security, and Food Literacy in the Nine Strategic Provinces.” And Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong presented on “Local Food System Situation in Thailand.”

The data informed discussions on policy goals, implementation strategies, operational mechanisms, and monitoring and evaluation systems for improving healthy food systems across the nine strategic provinces.

IPSR’s participation underscored its key policy role and commitment to advancing evidence-based planning for long-term food security and public well-being.
