On November 19, 2025, Lecturer Dr. Truc Ngoc Hoang Dang, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, participated in the 9th Family Policy Experts Meeting for the Asia-Pacific region, organized by the OECD Korea Policy Centre in Seoul, South Korea. The meeting brought together experts from across the region to exchange insights and strategies for addressing pressing challenges in family policy. Key discussions included the effects of women’s increasing labor market participation and career aspirations on fertility, highlighting the critical need for equitable distribution of care responsibilities and effective work-family balance policies. In addition, participants examined broader family policy issues within their specific national and regional contexts, using indicators and comparative data to support cross-country research and policymaking in the Asia-Pacific region.
