On November 14, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, together with the executive team, welcomed representatives from various university units on the occasion of the 54th Anniversary of the Institute’s Establishment.
The Institute organized a series of merit-making ceremonies, including a ritual honoring the sacred guardians of the building and an alms-giving ceremony offering dried food to nine monks from Hathainares Temple. The ceremony was honored by Emeritus Prof. Dr. Pramote Prasartkul, IPSR Advisor, who presided over the incense-lighting ritual to pay homage to the Triple Gem.
In addition, a traditional Thai dance performance titled “Thai Arts: Connecting Hearts Across Four Regions” was presented by the College of Dramatic Arts. The Institute also awarded scholarships and educational supplies to students from seven schools in Phutthamonthon District, as well as provided scholarships to staff members’ children and presented innovation and creativity awards to IPSR personnel. The event was held at the Prachasangkom Udompathana Room, IPSR.
