On 3–4 November 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, organized a short training workshop titled “R2R Impact Accelerator – Advancing R2R to Results, Episode 1: Start Right.” The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in formulating research questions from real-world workplace problems, developing hypotheses and clearly measurable outcome/impact indicators, and producing verifiable R2R academic outputs that support professional advancement for support staff.
A total of 33 participants joined the workshop at the Prachasangkom Udompathana (Room 101), 1st Floor, IPSR.
The workshop was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nucharapon Liangruenrom, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, IPSR.
Sessions included: 1) Dr. Jarongsak Pumnuan, Expert Scientist, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang – delivered a lecture on foundational R2R concepts and led hands-on practice using the “One Sheet” R2R tool, 2) Ms. Skaewan Poolperm and Ms. Sujitra Chaengbamrung, Human Resource Division, Office of the President, Mahidol University – presented on criteria and processes for applying for higher academic support positions, and 3) Lect. Dr. Nara Khamkhom, Faculty Member, IPSR – presented on research objectives, methodology, and expected outputs (research, analysis, or manuals), followed by group discussions to generate R2R topics.
In addition, a team of mentors provided close support throughout the workshop, including:
