On October 15, 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, organized a student debate under the topic “Should Asian countries raise the retirement age to 65–70 in response to population aging and prolonged low fertility?”
The debate featured students from the Master of Arts in Population and Sexual and Reproductive Health (International Program) and the Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Demography and Social Research (International Program). The activity was part of two courses, PRPS 550: Substantive Demography and PRPS 555: Analytical Techniques, instructed by Lect. Dr. Truc Ngoc Hoang Dang and Lect. Dr. Nara Khamkhom.
The event was honored by Emeritus Prof. Dr. Aphichat Chamratrithirong, who served as the adjudicator. The debate took place at Room 326 (Rajawadee Room), 3rd Floor, IPSR Building.
