Social Development Expo 2025 (SDx 2025)

On September 17–18, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, together with Ms. Kanya Apipornchaisakul and Ms. Nutnicha Loyfah, attended the Social Development Expo 2025 (SDx 2025) under the theme “Demographic and Climate Crises”, organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) at Ballroom Halls 1–4, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

This event served as a national and international platform to foster collaboration among networks from both domestic and international sectors in preparing for and addressing the dual challenges of demographic and climate crises, which affect all groups of people, particularly vulnerable populations such as children, youth, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged groups. The event was officially opened by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MSDHS, and was attended by media representatives and stakeholders from multiple sectors.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan also joined the opening of the World Café Dialogue with Ms. Napaporn Traiwitwareekul on the theme “Fostering Intergenerational Solidarity to Strengthen Families for a Better Tomorrow.” This was one of the highlight activities of SDx 2025, providing a knowledge-sharing platform for national and international experts to collaborate in building a stronger and more sustainable society for all.
