Healthy University Day: HEALTHY MAHIDOL in New Normal 2025

On September 17, 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinan Kittisuksathit (Director, Thailand Center for Happy Worker Studies and Member of the Sub-Working Group Committee of MU Health Promotion), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutthida Chuanwan (Deputy Director for General Administration), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charamporn Holumyong, together with project researchers and staff, participated in “Healthy University Day: HEALTHY MAHIDOL in New Normal 2025 – MU Healthy Challenge”. The event was honored by Prof. Dr. Piyamitr Sritara (President of Mahidol University), who delivered the opening speech, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj (Director, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University and Secretary-General of the ASEAN University Network–Health Promotion Network, AUN-HPN), who presented the event report. The event was held at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

At the event, IPSR presented knowledge exhibitions and health promotion activity booths, including contributions from the Thailand Center for Happy Worker Studies, Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre, Thai Health Report, and other IPSR research projects. These aimed to provide knowledge to participants and organize interactive activities with souvenirs. In addition, IPSR staff joined the Move or Lose: MU Healthy Challenge exercise competition (4 health game stations) designed in the style of a health-inspired Squid Game, led by the College of Sports Science and Technology, Mahidol University.

The Healthy University Day – HEALTHY MAHIDOL in New Normal 2025 was organized by the Sub-Working Group Committee of MU Health Promotion. The objective was to enhance knowledge, understanding, and skills of Mahidol University staff and students in health self-care, to foster participation, and to promote Mahidol as a Healthy University. This initiative is expected to contribute to a sustainable organizational health culture and strengthen Mahidol University’s position as a global model of a Healthy University.
