On 25 August 2025, a delegation from the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, comprising the Asst. Prof. Dusita Phuengsamran, Deputy Director for International Relations and Organization Communication, Asst. Prof. Nucharapon Liangruenrom, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Program Chair and faculty members, program officers for Master’s and Doctoral programs, Information Technology Officer, and Planning & Policy Officer, visited the School of Distance Education, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulnaidi Yaacob, Dean of the School of Distance Education, together with the Deputy Deans – Dr. Izham Mohamad Yusoff (Academic, Career & International), Assoc. Prof. Dr. See Kok Fong (Research, Innovation & Industry-Community Engagement), Dr. Chua Hang Kuen (Technology & Student Supports), and Mr. Mohd Rashid Abdul Rejab (Deputy Registrar) – as well as the academic staff.
The study visit focused on course content design, expected learning outcomes, student assessment, and the development of self-learning materials, with the opportunity to tour USM’s state-of-the-art online teaching studio, fully equipped to produce high-quality digital learning resources.
The visit was excellently coordinated and hosted by Dr. Nik Norliati Fitri Md Nor, PhD, Geography Programme.
