The 16th International Graduate Students Conference on Population and Public

On July 14, 2025, the College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the ASEAN Institute for Health Development and the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, organized the 16th International Graduate Students Conference on Population and Public Health Sciences (IGSCPP) in a hybrid format. The objective was to exchange knowledge among faculty, researchers, and students, promote collaboration in graduate education and knowledge creation, and provide a platform for presenting research findings. The event was held at the College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University.

The opening ceremony was honored by Prof. Dr. Chitlada Areesantichai, Dean of the College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research. They jointly opened the conference, marking the consortium of three WHO Collaborating Centers. This year, seven students from the Master of Arts Program in Population and Sexual and Reproductive Health (International Program) presented their research at the 11th floor of the Sarapas Research Building, Chulalongkorn University, as follows:

  4. Ms. HSU NANDAR AUNG – Promoting Early Learning among Myanmar Migrant Children in Tak Province, Thailand: Psychosocial Determinants of Caregivers’ Engagement
  5. Ms. SU SU HTET – Managing Menstruation in Crisis: Challenges, Responses, and Humanitarian Solutions in Displaced Camps
  6. Ms. NAW HLA HLA SAN – Lived Experiences and Understandings: A Qualitative Inquiry into Displaced Myanmar Youth’s Knowledge and Attitudes on Sexually Transmitted Infections
