IPSR–Mahidol University–Chiang Rai–EEF Jointly Organized a Committee Meeting to Drive the Resolution of the Problem of Children and Youth Out of the Education System to Zero (Thailand Zero Dropout) in Chiang Rai Province

During April 29–30, 2025, at Chiang Rai Grand Room Hotel, Chiang Rai Province, the team supporting the Thailand Zero Dropout initiative and the development of mechanisms and database systems to support Area-Based Education (Smiley Delivery Team), Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Chiang Rai Lanna Assembly of Happiness and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), organized a meeting to drive the Thailand Zero Dropout policy aimed at addressing the issue of children and youth being out of the education system in Chiang Rai Province. The meeting was honored by the presence of Dr. Kiattikhun Chankaen, President of the Chiang Rai Lanna Assembly of Happiness, who served as the meeting chair. A total of 50 participants attended.

The training aimed to ensure participants understood the Thailand Zero Dropout information system, including the questionnaire within the system, how to use the system based on their roles and responsibilities, and how to transfer knowledge to relevant provincial working groups. Participants included the primary personnel responsible for the Thailand Zero Dropout project, as well as project staff or agency representatives responsible for three key roles: Surveyor, Case Manager (CM), and System Administrator (Admin) at both provincial and sub-district levels.
