On April 10, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, delivered the opening speech for the Songkran Festival 2025, themed “Songkran Saransuk,” to honor and preserve Thai cultural traditions. The event was attended by executives, faculty members, researchers, staff, and students.
This year’s celebration featured a retro-style circle dance performance by senior citizens and women group from Ngio Rai Subdistrict School, the traditional bathing of the Buddha image, and a water-pouring ceremony to seek blessings from senior faculty members. In addition, the Population and Social Research Development Foundation presented scholarship awards to students.
The event concluded with a congratulatory segment and awards presentation to Mahidol University athletes for 2025. The celebration was held at the Prachasangkom Udompathana Meeting Room (Room 101), 1st Floor, Institute for Population and Social Research.
