IPSR–Mahidol University–Ubon Ratchathani–EEF Jointly Organize Workshop to Support the Government’s “Thailand Zero Dropout” Policy

On March 26–27, 2025, the Thailand Zero Dropout Support Team and Development of Mechanisms and Database Systems to Support Area-Based Education Management (Send Smile Team), Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Education Office and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), organized a workshop on “Using the Thailand Zero Dropout Information System” at the Chonlatee Meeting Room, Kittrong Vill Resort Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

This initiative aimed to support the government’s Thailand Zero Dropout policy to address and eliminate the issue of children and youth being outside the formal education system. The workshop was officially opened by Lieutenant Colonel Soramongkol Mongkolkasiri, Deputy Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, and welcomed by Mr. Seri Tum-on, Deputy Regional Education Commissioner, Regional Education Office 14.

A total of 204 participants attended the workshop. The objective was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Thailand Zero Dropout information system, including its components and questionnaire framework. Participants were trained to use the system according to their roles and responsibilities and to effectively disseminate this knowledge to provincial working groups.

Attendees included project leads and staff involved in driving efforts to resolve educational exclusion, with designated roles as Surveyors, Case Managers (CMs), and System Administrators (Admins) at both provincial and sub-district levels.
