On March 4, 2025, at the Kalpruek 1 Meeting Room, Songphan Buri Hotel, Suphan Buri Province, the Thailand Zero Dropout Promotion Team and the Development of Mechanisms and Database Systems to Support Area-Based Education Management (Send Smile Team) from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Suphan Buri Provincial Education Office and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), organized a meeting to drive the Thailand Zero Dropout policy and address the issue of out-of-school children in Suphan Buri Province. The event was honored by Mr. Piriya Chantadilok, Governor of Suphan Buri Province, who presided over the opening ceremony.
The meeting aimed to provide an overview of the Thailand Zero Dropout policy and its significance, presented by Mr. Phattanapong Sukmadan, Assistant Manager of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF). Additionally, the Thailand Zero Dropout Information System, a key tool for surveying and monitoring out-of-school children, was introduced by the Send Smile Team. Participants engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas to develop effective, tangible solutions for reintegrating children into the education system.
The meeting was attended by district chiefs from all districts of Suphan Buri Province, representatives from local administrative organizations, heads of government departments, and educational personnel from relevant agencies, totaling 126 participants.
