On January 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the research project ” Enhancing the Capacity of Local Government Organization Personnel in Utilizing Population Data for an Active Aging Society” led by the Institute for Population and Social Research and funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), organized a training session on the use of population data and the Population Pyramid Program (PPP). The training was designed for personnel from 20 local administrative organizations across Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Phutthamonthon, Sam Phran, and Nakhon Chai Si districts in Nakhon Pathom Province.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute, delivered the welcome address and served as a speaker alongside Emeritus Prof. Dr. Pramote Prasartkul, Project Advisor. The event also featured contributions from project researchers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutthida Chuanwan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Mr. Wanapol Chaemsukhi, Ms. Kanchana Thianlai, and Mr. Phongsak Muensakda.
Additionally, a team from the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK) facilitated a stretching activity aimed at reducing sedentary behavior among participants. The event was held at the Prachasangkom Udompathana Meeting Room (101), 1st floor, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
