On December 16, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Piyawat Katewongsa, Director of the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK) at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, served as a special speaker at a workshop focused on developing mechanisms to integrate policy networks for promoting physical activity in pregnant and postpartum women. The presentation, titled “Developing a Mechanism to Drive the Integration of Policy Networks to Promote Physical Activity in Pregnant and Postpartum Women”, aimed to support the implementation of the PA Pregnant and Postpartum Women Guideline across regional, general, and community hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health.
Organized by the Physical Activity and Health Division, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, the workshop brought together maternal and child health representatives from health centers 1–12. This initiative aims to establish a robust foundation for promoting sustainable health for mothers and children through appropriate physical activities.
