On December 11, 2024, the Send Smile Team from the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Education Office and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), organized a working group meeting and fieldwork to conduct the First Screening of children and youth not registered in the education system. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Sanit Srithawi, District Chief of Sikhio, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, who provided guidelines for field operations. A total of 35 participants attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed to introduce participants to the Thailand Zero Dropout initiative and to conduct initial field screening of children and youth in Ban Han Subdistrict, Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Mr. Phattanapong Sukmadan, Assistant Manager of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), shared about the principles and important concepts of the Thailand Zero Dropout initiative. Participants included key project drivers, local community leaders, and representatives from agencies fulfilling three crucial roles: surveyor, system administrator (Admin), and case manager, both at the provincial and sub-district levels.
