Study Visit on Maternal and Child Health

Between 18-21 November 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Thaweesit, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, as the president of the Health and Share Foundation (HSF.), which was formerly SHARE Thailand, led the foundation’s committee and team on a study visit to Cambodia. The visit focused on maternal and child health, particularly promoting nutrition for children under five and pregnant mothers.

The team collaborated with SHARE Cambodia, an organization working closely with local governments at the commune and health station levels. During the visit, representatives of SHARE Cambodia, the commune president, and the head of the health station in Preah Vihear Province welcomed the delegation, provided lectures, and engaged in experience-sharing discussions.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Thaweesit visited the Thai Consulate-General in Siem Reap Province, where she met with the Consul-General to explore opportunities for future collaboration. Discussions included research and the development of referral systems and public health service provisions in the border areas between Thailand and Cambodia.
