Lesson-Learning Meeting from the Healthy Food Chain Management and Effective Interventions for Reducing Access to Unhealthy Foods in the Thai Population Research Project

Between November 19–21, 2024, the research project “Healthy Food Chain Management and Effective Interventions for Reducing Access to Unhealthy Foods in the Thai Population” convened a lesson-learning meeting at the Phu Pha 1 Meeting Room, Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa.

The objective of the meeting was to summarize the project’s performance, exchange knowledge on successes and challenges, and strategize future research directions to advance Thailand’s food and nutrition policies. The meeting utilized a hybrid format, accommodating 25 onsite and online participants, including: Project Advisor: Emeritus Prof. Dr. Churnrurtai Kanchanachitra, Project Working Group Members: 1) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of IPSR 2) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs 3) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director for Research 4) Asst. Prof. Dr. Pojjana Hunchangsith 5) Lect. Dr. Sarunya Sujaritpong, DVM 6) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, Project Principal Investigator, and Researchers and project coordinators.

The insights gained from the meeting will guide the development of future food and nutrition research topics for the Institute. Additionally, it will contribute to enhancing the research process and improving the communication of research outcomes to policymakers and stakeholders for more effective societal impact.
