The Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK), in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), participated in the 17th National Health Promotion and Environmental Health Conference 2024 from October 7-9, 2024, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
TPAK presented an exhibition under the theme “Physical Activity Pathways Throughout Life: From Research to Policy,” showcasing academic works and research supported by ThaiHealth. These efforts have been instrumental in shaping and advancing Thailand’s physical activity promotion policies across all life stages. The exhibition focused on 6 key age groups:
- Fetal and Mother: Safe exercise guidelines for pregnant women.
- Early Childhood: Emphasizing the significant role of movement and play in child development.
- School Age: Programs promoting physical activity in schools, including walking and cycling.
- Adolescents: Guidelines for engaging in appropriate sports and recreational activities.
- Working Age: Integrating physical activities into daily routines and the workplace.
- Elderly: Exercise programs designed to prevent falls and slow down physical deterioration.
