The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Mahidol University, and 50 government and private organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on collaboration to support and promote physical exercise and sports activities for public sector personnel, private sector employees, and the general public.

On September 9, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, representing the President of Mahidol University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on collaboration to support and promote physical exercise and sports activities for public sector personnel, private sector employees, and the general public. The MoU facilitates integration through a data-sharing platform for exercise and sports statistics, known as the CALORIES CREDIT CHALLENGE (CCC), between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, government agencies, and private organizations. The signing ceremony took place at Grand Hall 203, BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangna, Bangkok.

The purpose of this MoU is to promote physical exercise and sports activities among public sector employees, private sector personnel, and the general public, aiming to improve health and quality of life through effective data integration. With a vision of creating a sustainable healthy society, this initiative is a key step in combining technology with health promotion, contributing to a healthier Thai society. The Institute for Population and Social Research, alongside the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Center (TPAK), plays a significant role in developing an intelligent national database system to display nationwide data.
