Lect. Dr. Sergey Ryazantsev, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) at Mahidol University took part in the Risk Index for Climate Displacement (RICD) Launch Symposium and Policy Dialogue on July 11-12, 2024, organized by IOM – UN Migration, the University of the Philippines Resilience Institute (UPRI) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok. Lect. Dr. Sergey was one of 20 leading experts from the Asia-Pacific region who gathered to exchange views on displacement due to natural disasters, action to combat climate change and how data analysis can translate into practical solutions.
Lect. Dr. Sergey made a presentation on the topic: Labor Migration as an Adaptation Strategy in the Context of Climate Change in Vietnam, which provided assessments of migration potential and recommendations for the development of labor migration as an effective challenge to climate change in Vietnam.
