On 21-22 November 2023, a seminar on international approaches to sustainable demographic development was held in Minsk (Belarus) in the framework of the UN Population Fund project “Demographic Sustainability in Eurasia”. Sergey Ryazantsev made a presentation on “Analysis and ways to overcome negative demographic consequences in the context of socio-economic crises and geopolitical risks” as an international consultant of the project.
On 27-30 November 2023, Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) hosted a workshop for members and coordinators of the UN Migration Network and Turkmenistan’s national stakeholders of the Global Compact on Migration within the framework of the IOM-Turkmenistan project “Supporting Governments of Central Asian States in implementing the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration”. Sergey Ryazantsev made a presentation on “New Migration Trends in Eurasia in 2022-2023” and also presented as an international consultant the National Migration Action Plan for Turkmenistan in the framework of realising the goals of the Global Compact on Migration.
