On April 26-27, 2023, a workshop on information integration and development of strategic information at the provincial level was held at the Hansanan Hotel in Phitsanulok Province. The workshop aimed to reduce inequality in education through the area-based education management project in Phitsanulok Province in 2022. The meeting aimed to develop a “mechanism” for cooperation among government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and people in the area to exchange information and knowledge. This would lead to the development of plans and guidelines for the integration of provincial strategic databases. The Song Yim Team, who supports the drive for area-based education management to reduce inequality, organized the process to invite ideas and discussions. The discussions were led by various speakers, including Assoc. Department of Cardiothoracic Technology Naresuan University, Lecturer Dr. Nuchanart Muenchan, Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Arts University of Phayao, Lecturer Dr. Wiwan Sukcharoen Ketkaew, and a research team from the Institute for Population and Social Research Mahidol University, led by Mr. Panya Chulert. The team led the discussions using a group process, World Café, to collect resource costs in four areas: data/information, operation (budget, people, units, organization), knowledge/knowledge set/innovation, and policy/social capital. The working group for area-based education to reduce inequality in Phitsanulok Province was also invited to jointly analyze the situation and issues that cause inequality in education for children and youth in Phitsanulok Province. They also jointly analyzed work gaps to use provincial strategic information in management planning and decision making to reduce inequality in education in Phitsanulok Province. Ms. Pimporn Surakittidamrong and Ms. Rangsima Limlertpanich from the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) also attended the workshop.
