On December 22, 2023, the Population and Social Research Institute organized an event to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new year 2024 with a ‘Snake and Fish Party.’ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aree Jampaklay, the director of the institute, delivered the opening speech. The event featured ‘The Star’ activities, including searching the sky to catch IPSR stars and waiting for performances. There was also a ‘Snake Enters the Dream’ segment, followed by an award ceremony for the winners of the 2024 New Year’s Poetry Writing Contest. The event concluded with a gift-exchange raffle activity, offering participants the chance to win exciting prizes from the institute. The festivities took place at the front of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
