การประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อเตรียมกระบวนการปฏิบัติภาคสนามโครงการ SUNRISE-THAILAND
รศ.ดร.อารี จำปากลาย ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล พร้อมด้วย อาจารย์ ดร.ดิยาฮ์ อนันตาเลีย วิดยาสตาริ นายปัญญา ชูเลิศ นายอับดุล อุ่นอำไพ รศ.ดร.ปิยวัฒน์ เกตุวงศา และคณะนักวิจัย ให้การต้อนรับ Prof. Anthony Okely จากมหาวิทยาลัย Wollongong ประเทศออสเตรเลีย ในโอกาสเป็นวิทยากรในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อเตรียมการปฏิบัติการทำความเข้าใจแนวทางการทำงาน แบบสำรวจและการบันทึกข้อมูล รวมถึง การรวบรวมข้อมูลสถานการณ์การมีกิจกรรมทางกายของเด็กและเยาวชนให้แก่นักวิจัยโครงการ และพนักงานสัมภาษณ์ จำนวน 30 คน ในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อเตรียมกระบวนการปฏิบัติภาคสนามโครงการ SUNRISE-THAILAND จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 23-25 มิถุนายน 2565 ....

ผ้าอนามัย ความจนประจำเดือนที่ผู้หญิงต้องแบกรับ
ข่าว “ผ้าอนามัย” ความจนประจำเดือนที่ผู้หญิงต้องแบกรับ โดย รศ.ดร.สุชาดา ทวีสิทธิ์ รองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายวิจัย และการคลังและพัสดุ สถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้รับการเผยแพร่ผ่านทาง Thai PBS รายการ "วันใหม่วาไรตี้" ในช่วง "ประเด็นสังคม" เมื่อวันที่ 20 มิถุนายน 2565 ตลอดช่วงชีวิตของผู้หญิง การมี "ประจำเดือน" ถูกจัดเป็นภาวะอนามัยเจริญพันธุ์ แต่ “ผ้าอนามัย” กลับไม่ถูกจัดเป็นบริการด้านสุขภาพทางเพศที่ผู้หญิงสามารถขอรับบริการได้โดยไม่ต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่าย ถึงแม้ว่าผ้าอนามัยจะจัดเป็นสินค้าควบคุมราคา แต่ยังมีราคาแพงสำหรับผู้หญิงหลายคนในสังคม ซึ่งสังคมไทยควรมีกลไกการแก้ปัญหาอย่างไร ? เพื่อเอื้ออำนวยให้ผู้หญิงทุกกลุ่มสามารถเข้าถึงผ้าอนามัยได้อย่างไม่ยากนัก

ความเหลื่อมล้ำของการมีกิจกรรมทางกายในประเทศไทย
ข่าว “ความเหลื่อมล้ำของการมีกิจกรรมทางกายในประเทศไทย” โดย นายณรากร วงษ์สิงห์ (หัวหน้ากลุ่มงานวิจัยพฤติกรรมและปรากฏการณ์สังคม) , รศ.ดร.ปิยวัฒน์ เกตุวงศา ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์พัฒนาองค์ความรู้ด้านกิจกรรมทางกายประเทศไทย (ทีแพค) และอาจารย์ประจำสถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เมื่อกล่าวถึง “ความเหลื่อมล้ำและความไม่เท่าเทียมของการมีกิจกรรมทางกาย” เรื่องดังกล่าวนี้ไม่ได้มีเพียงแต่ประชาชนคนไทยเท่านั้นที่กำลังเผชิญ แต่ประชากรทั่วโลกต่างกำลังประสบและต้องหาทางในการจัดการปัญหาดังกล่าวนี้อย่างเร่งด่วน จากการเปิดเผยข้อมูลขององค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) ระบุว่า “ผู้ใหญ่ 1 ใน 4 และเด็กและวัยรุ่น 4 ใน 5 ขาดการมีกิจกรรมทางกายที่เพียงพอ” “ผู้สูงอายุหรือผู้พิการขาดโอกาสการเข้าถึงการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนอย่างเหมาะสม” “ผู้หญิงมีกิจกรรมทางกายน้อยกว่าผู้ชาย” และ“กลุ่มประเทศที่มีร่ำรวยขาดการมีกิจกรรมทางกายสูงกว่ากลุ่มประเทศที่มีรายได้น้อย”

สำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) ร่วมกับ มูลนิธิสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาผู้สูงอายุ (มส.ผส.) มูลนิธิสาธารณสุขแห่งชาติ (มสช.) และ สถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จัดเวทีนำเสนอผลงานวิชาการ “ความดาดหวัง การเตรียมความพร้อม และการเข้าถึงบริการทางสังคม เพื่อการสูงวัยอย่างมีพลัง” ณ รร.แกรนด์ เมอร์เคียว กรุงเทพฯ ฟอร์จูน แยกพระราม 9 ถ.รัชดาภิเษก กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งในช่วงหนึ่งของงาน รศ.ดร.จงจิตต์ ฤทธิรงค์ นักวิชาการสถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล กล่าวถึงผลสำรวจที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของงานวิจัย “ความคาดหวัง การวางแผน และการเตรียมตัวของประชากรวัยทำงานต่างรุ่นอายุ และรูปแบบการอยู่อาศัยต่อชีวิตในวัยสูงอายุ” ในประเด็นสุขภาพ ว่า สุขภาพดีคือความมั่นคง ยิ่งเริ่มเร็วยิ่งเพิ่มมูลค่า เพราะการมีสุขภาพดีร่างกายแข็งแรง นอกจากจะลดภาระค่าใช้จ่ายรักษาอาการเจ็บป่วยต่างๆ ได้แล้ว ยังช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสในการทำงานสร้างรายได้พึ่งพาตนเองได้ยาวนานขึ้นด้วย

IPSR-Institutional Review Board (IPSR-IRB) organized the 2nd IRB TALK on the topic “Why do we need an IRB-committee for social science research?” in an online format via Zoom and Facebook Live programs with Emeritus Professor Pramote Prasartkul,Ph.D., along with Associate Professor Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan as the speaker and Associate Professor Dr. Charamporn Holumyong as the moderators. This activity received great attention from lecturers, researchers, students, and internal and external personnel, more than 80 interested persons.

Academic Conference of the Office of the Education Council (OEC Forum) No. 1/2022
Dr. Napaphat Satchanawakul, IPSR, was a speaker at the 1/2565 OEC Forum on "School Psychology: Solutions for Educational Management in the Disruption Era". at Baiyoke Sky Hotel organized by the Secretariat of the Office of the Education Council to analyse the situation and trends in education management to meet the needs of the country's development. In this regard, Dr. Napaphat reflected on the findings and recommendations from research projects Strengthening Systems to Deliver Effective Multi-Tiered Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents Funded by UNICEF.

ข่าว “คดีข่มขืนในไทย วิกฤติละเมิดทางเพศ” โดย สำนักงานคณะกรรมการสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งชาติ (กสม.) ร่วมกับสำนักงานกองทุนสนับสนุนการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพ (สสส.) จัดเสวนาวิชาการหัวข้อ “ปัญหาการล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ : ปกป้อง คุ้มครองสิทธิผู้ตกเป็นเหยื่ออย่างไร?” มีนักวิชาการ ผู้ทำงานคุ้มครองสิทธิทางเพศ และตัวแทนภาครัฐเข้ามาร่วมเสวนาครั้งนี้ รศ.ดร.กฤตยา อาชวนิจกุล สถาบันวิจัยประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล กล่าวว่า ความรุนแรงทางเพศเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ของผู้หญิงในสังคมไทยอันมีหลายรูปแบบ เรื่องที่น่าสนใจคือ ผู้ถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ “กรณีเด็กต่ำกว่า 18 ปี” ปรากฏตัวเลขถูกข่มขืนแล้วฆ่า 32% ผู้ข่มขืนอยู่ในสายเลือดเดียวกัน 89% การถูกข่มขืนต่อเนื่องซ้ำซาก 93% และยังมีข้อมูลศูนย์พึ่งได้ตั้งแต่ปี 2547-2563 ตอกย้ำตัวเลข 2 ใน 3 เป็นเด็กถูกกระทำมารับบริการ ฉะนั้น ความรุนแรงทางเพศต่อเด็กผู้หญิงไทยกำลังเป็นปัญหาสำคัญยิ่ง

Creating understanding of guidelines for developing proposals for a spatial education project to reduce inequality in 2022
Institute for Population and Social Research Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa and the team of researchers for the project to coordinate and support the propulsion of spatial education for equality in education at the provincial level served as a keynote speaker in a provincial project proposal workshop at Amari Don Mueang Airport Bangkok Hotel to present the conceptual framework and guidelines for the provincial departments' project implementation of spatial education to reduce inequality. There were 204 participants from 163 agencies, a total of 44 provinces across the country attended the meeting, including the government, academic departments, local government organizations. civil society and the private sector.

Happy University project, up-skill content creation for students from universities affiliated with the network of Happy University project aims to develop students to promote health issues among adolescents such as alcohol, tobacco, substance abuse, and gambling through content communication. The Happy University project was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinan Kittisuksathit and Dr. Nucharapon Liangruenrom, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, organized online training for developing skills for students in NewGen Content Creator Workshop through the Zoom Cloud Meeting system for students to learn the process and extend their content creation skills, ready to understand health issues that are important problems among adolescents. The information will be used to estimate the impacts on the health dimension of the Thai population over the next 20 years and formulate policies of Thailand.

Merit making ceremony on the occasion of Thailand National Day and Father’s Day
IPSR, led by Assistant Professor Charamporn Holumyong, Deputy Director for Administration, together with IPSR staff joined merit making ceremony on the occasion of Thailand National Day and Father’s Day, held by Mahidol University at the Office of President, Mahidol University, Salaya campus. The ceremony which was presided over by Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, comprised of alms giving to 59 Buddhist monks, and tribute-paying ceremony to His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya contributed the tribute-paying ceremony by laying wreaths to honour His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, and His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Then, all participants sang the Thai Royal Anthem together.
