วัตถุประสงค์:

The study on Social Cost of Migration on Children of International Migrant Parents is a comparative study planning to conduct in four countries, i.e. Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Philippines. The study focuses on the effects of international migration of parents on children, particularly on physical and psychological health. The study will interview about one hundred households which have international migrant parents. The study will also conduct a number of focus group interviews. The study site will be in a province of the northeast where international migration is most prominent in Thailand. 
                    Findings of the project will be disseminated to policy makers and to public for further actions to be taken to lessen any possible negative impacts of parental international migration.
