Seminar on “Higher Education and Creating Educational and Learning Opportunities for Sustainable Development, Mahidol University”

On May 30, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Faculty of Liberal Arts, the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, the Institute for Population and Social Research, the College of Management, and the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University, organized a seminar on “Higher Education and Creating Educational and Learning Opportunities for Sustainable Development, Mahidol University.” The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sittiwat Lertsiri, Vice President of Mahidol University, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Punchada Sirivunnabood, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivering the opening report.

On this occasion, the seminar was honored by a special lecture delivered by Ms. Suchada Thaensap, Secretary to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, on the topic “Higher Education and Creating Educational and Learning Opportunities for Sustainable Development, Mahidol University.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa, Director of the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK), Institute for Population and Social Research, participated as a speaker in the session “Creating Educational Opportunities and Learning for Sustainable Development,” moderated by Dr. Praweenamai Baicloy.

In conjunction with the seminar, the Institute for Population and Social Research organized a booth to disseminate academic publications. The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutthida Chuanwan, Deputy Director for General Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director for Research; Asst. Prof. Dr. Nucharapon Liangruenrom, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs; Ms. Ploychompoo Sukustit, Executive Secretary of the Institute; along with the TPAK research team and supporting staff. The seminar was held at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University.
