Following academic collaboration agreements between ASEAN universities at the ASEAN University Symposium for Sustainable Food System held at the Faculty of Economics, Kasetsart University in April 2024, the Second ASEAN University Symposium for Sustainable Food System was held on May 5-6, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University (Institut Pertanian Bogor) in Bogor, Indonesia, in a hybrid format this year.
Staff members from Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, including Dr. Weerapak Samsiripong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd from the project, “Evaluating the feasibility for effective implementation a standard practice in street food production and service provision at the local level in Thailand,” presented a research paper titled “Street Food and Urban Food Security in Thailand: Policy Alignment and Prospects”.
