On January 7, 2025, the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK), in collaboration with the Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), participated in the Workshop on Mothers and Young Children, Fiscal Year 2025, by organizing the exhibition “Height Fight: Encourage Thai Children to Increase Their Height” at the Grand Richmond Stylist Convention Hotel, Nonthaburi Province.
The exhibition emphasized the critical role of the golden period of the first 1,000 days of life—beginning from the fourth month of pregnancy—in fostering optimal growth. It also highlighted the alarming statistic that 11.8% of Thai young children are significantly shorter than the standard height for their age.
Through engaging displays, the exhibition showcased methods to promote physical activity and play, which are essential for stimulating height development effectively. Additionally, it featured academic products and research outputs developed by TPAK, supported by ThaiHealth, aimed at driving policies to enhance physical activity among Thai children.
